Taos, NM - The Rio Fernando de Taos Revitalization Collaborative is hosting a Spring River Clean-Up event on Saturday, April 15th, from 9AM to 12PM. Volunteers are invited to meet at either Rio Fernando Park located at 410 La Posta Rd or Taos County Courthouse at 105 Albright St at 9AM.
During the clean-up, volunteers will work together to remove trash and debris from the river and its surrounding areas. Lunch will be provided, and the Collaborative will be sharing some exciting updates about its work and goals for 2023 during the lunch session. Those interested in participating are encouraged to RSVP at www.riofernando.org/events, so that the Collaborative can get an accurate head count for lunch.
"We are thrilled to host this Spring River Clean-Up and invite all members of our community to join us in this important effort," said Flor Serna, the Rio Fernando de Taos Revitalization Collaborative coordinator. "Our goal is to raise awareness of this river that runs through Taos and feeds six acequias, and of the importance of keeping our river and surrounding areas clean and healthy."
For more information about the event or to address any concerns, please contact Flor Serna at RFdTCollaborative@gmail.com or 505-850-7578.
